Malcomson Law LLP History, Malcomson Law LLP was founded in 1858 in Carlow by Robert Malcomson, a member of a well-known Waterford family of tanners. When Robert K Law joined the firm it became Malcomson & Law. The firm name has remained long after the original founders retired. In 1984, Malcomson & Law amalgamated with the Carlow firm of Frank Lanigan Solicitors, and became Frank Lanigan, Malcomson & Law. As the practice expanded, it became a well-known and successful firm in Carlow and the surrounding counties with thriving commercial, family law and property departments.
