Aaron is CEO of investment platform firm LUMIQ and a Principal of Lumen Advisors. Prior to that, Aaron was Head of Portfolio Management at PIMCO managing global and emerging markets funds and overseeing Asia investment strategies. Before joining PIMCO, he was Head of Fixed Income (Portfolio Management) for Rosenberg Capital Management (RCM) Global Investors (San Francisco), managing global balanced and fixed income portfolios. He started his career in IBM.
He currently serves on the board of directors of Triumph Capital International (Singapore), Guotai Junan Asset Management (Hong Kong), Chairman, Board of Trustees of the Research Foundation (US) and board editor on the Journal of Futures Markets (US). He also is senior advisor to Hashkey Capital.
Previously, Aaron was the Chairman of the Board of Governors of the CFA Institute (US), and on boards of the Singapore Foreign Exchange Markets Committee (SFEMC), Government of Singapore Pension Fund, Investment Management Association of Singapore (iMAS), Wealth Management Institute (WMI), BNP Paribas Bank Hedge Fund Center (SMU). He has been Senior Advisor to the Harvest Fund Management (Beijing), Bosera Asset Management (Shenzhen) and Minsheng Tonghui Asset Management (Shanghai).
Aaron graduated with a PhD in International Financial Economics from Anderson School, UCLA, and other graduate programs at Stanford University, MIT and University of Chicago and an engineering degree from NUS. He is a CFA charterholder.

Eugene is a software developer with over 30 years of experience and has produced multiple world-class products and consulted on the architecture of numerous software projects. His work can be found across industries including digital health, banking and finance, computer-aided-design, pre-press and consumer imaging, pharmaceuticals, energy, manufacturing automation, transportation, and emergency response. The solutions he has developed range from cloud-based applications to the desktop to embedded and IoT devices. Eugene is fluent in C++, Java, JavaScript, and related frameworks. Since 2013 Eugene has helped Lumen Advisors to develop the web application Lumen Global Value Compass, using state-of-the-art JavaScript technologies, no-SQL database and advanced infographics to deliver a user experience of working with volumes of data that is easy and intuitive to use. He served as the Chief Engineer, Programmes at Autodesk and was the Chief Architect at LifeAssist Technologies. He was the Manager in Software Engineering at Sojern, a renowned travel marketing platform. He also consults as a Software Architect at Cellpoint Systems, helping their clients develop next-generation edge computing software platforms and IoT devices.
Eugene graduated in BSEM and MS in Engineering from Tufts University.

Simon is an experienced entrepreneur with over 30 years of experience managing global and emerging markets funds across all asset classes. Before LGI, he founded Lumen Advisors in 2002 and was the Managing Partner and the CIO for the Lumen Global Value Fund (Emerging market hedge fund) and various separate accounts. Simon has developed the Lumen Global Value Compass, an unbiased measure of implied value across all asset classes globally, the engine that powers R4A.
Simon co-managed the Gavekal Global Equities UCITS Fund in 2017. Prior to Lumen Advisors, Simon was the Co-chief investment officer, global emerging markets debt and Managing Director of Dresdner RCM Global Investors. He previously worked at Soros Fund Management as an advisor and portfolio manager for the Quantum Emerging Growth Fund. Prior to that, Simon was CIO for Emerging Market Fixed Income at LGT with total assets of over $1.5 billion and earlier served as a Global Strategist for Putnam's fixed income group, where he built the EM business to over $1bn. From 1984 to 1992, Simon was an economist at the International Monetary Fund and an economist for the European Economic Commission working as a technical advisor for Sub Sahara African Governments.
In 1994, Simon was named the "Best Manager of the Year" by Business Week magazine and in 1996 his fund was awarded the Five Stars ranking by Morningstar. In 2005, the Lumen Global Value Fund, Ltd. was named the best Relative Value Strategy by Global Fund Analysis. Simon sits on the Advisory Board of the Master of Science Program in Financial Analysis and Investment Management at the School of Economics and Business Administration at Saint Mary's College.
Simon received his Doctor in Economics from the University of Milan, Italy and his Electronics Engineering degree from I.T.I.S., Vimercate, Italy.

Steve is a recognized expert in capital markets and securities regulation. He has formed and advised dozens of market makers, hedge funds and private equity funds Steve was a professor at the Fuqua School of Business and Duke Law School, founded the Duke Directors' Education Institute (DEI), and established the Duke Global Capital Markets Center (GCMC), a collaborative venture between Fuqua and Duke Law. Steve recently retired as Professor of Practice of Finance at the Smith School of Business, University of Maryland. Steve spent 15 years as Senior Counsel and Senior Investment Officer at the International Finance Corporation, the private sector affiliate of the World Bank where he was responsible for capital market development, including debt conversion and venture capital and private equity funds. He has extensive experience in global capital markets and was instrumental to the development of many closed-end country funds for emerging markets. Steve was an associate at Cleary Gottlieb in Rio and New York with a specialization in securities regulation.
Steve received his Juris Doctor from Yale Law School, M.A. in Political Science & Government from Harvard University, and a B.A. in Mathmatics and Government from Cornell University. He was a member of the Board of Directors of VALE - INCO (Canada) and a member of the Audit Committee from 2006-2007 and an Advisor to the Management Committee of Companhia Vale do Rio Doce (VALE) from 2007-2009.
