PEET activities are supported through a collaborative partnership with the EPECentre, our student interface at the University of Canterbury (UC), delivered as part of the EPECentre's area of operation Education & Outreach and its support to develop careers in the power industry... Our new name - ARUHIKO - POWER ENGINEERING EXCELLENCE TRUST (PEET) is a special name because of our kaupapa - our task; to ensure a pipeline of power engineering talent. We approached a team of Te Reo Māori experts to help us capture our work and come up with a Māori name that really speaks to the excellence we aspire our industry to be and perpetuate... PEET is a Charitable Trust under the NZ Charitable Trusts Act of 1957; it is unregistered for GST and recognised by the IRD as a "Donor" organisation.
