Jersey City Medical Center has proudly served the Jersey City community and Hudson County for 142 years. Established in 1882 as the "Charity Hospital," we have evolved significantly over the decades. Renamed Jersey City Hospital in 1885, we became a private nonprofit organization in 1988. In 2004, we relocated to downtown Jersey City, conveniently near Liberty State Park and numerous transportation options to New York City. Recently, we expanded our Emergency Department and developed outpatient hubs throughout Hudson County to meet our community's needs better... We also offer options in a variety of self-pay parking decks, including our main hospital parking deck which is located adjacent to the facility and is available 24-hours-a-day, seven-days-a-week...
