R.O. Giles founded Giles Industries in 1959, based out of New Tazewell, Tennessee. In 2006, after 47 years of business, Southern Energy Homes recognized the excellence of our products and purchased Giles. Clayton Homes, a Berkshire Hathaway Inc. subsidiary, saw their success and purchased Southern Energy Homes, giving us greater access to resources and expanding our market. One thing hasn't changed: the high quality of our products. Since our opening day, we've built over 86,000 quality homes...
