Brenda has primarily worked in the social justice public sector, first within the community legal clinic system and later as Senior Counsel at the Ontario Human Rights Legal Support Centre. Prior to launching her investigations practice in 2021, Brenda worked in the school board sector as part of a Human Rights and Equity Advisor initiative supported by the Ministry of Education where she conducted investigations into human rights complaints as a neutral... Throughout her practice Brenda has worked with diverse communities providing direct services to clients with a commitment to enhancing access to justice. She worked for almost a decade in the community legal clinic system addressing income support and disability, social assistance, housing, and human rights. Brenda gained extensive practice experience and in-depth human rights knowledge dealing with varied and complex human rights matters after joining the Human Rights Legal Support Centre in 2008 and she regularly appeared before..
