Friends of the Sun began in 1975 as a small renewable energy company in Brattleboro, Vermont. We mostly sold books and how-to guides on the new topic of solar energy, hence our name!... On display in our showroom you will find the complete product line from the Jøtul and Hearthstone brands of wood stoves and gas stoves, fireplaces, and inserts. Also see all the wood, gas, and pellet stoves available from Lopi, Quadrafire, Heatilator, Fireplace Xtrordinair and Avalon. We also offer a complete assortment of accessories for the fireplace including screens, glass doors, fireplace grates and toolsets, log racks, and firestarters. In addition we have everything to complete your installation including chimney pipe and liners, hearth pads, fireplace mantels and surrounds, and other accessories for the stove. We partner with many certified chimney sweeps in our area to ensure your new wood stove, pellet stove, gas stove, fireplace, or fireplace insert is installed properly and safely.
