Cheis Garrus is currently the Director of Finance and Administration for the Museum of African American History. The Museum is entering its 50th year of preserving and interpreting African American's contribution to American culture, with particular focus on 19th century New England. The Museum is the steward of National Historic Sites: the African Meeting House (1806) and Abiel Smith School (1835) on Beacon Hill, Boston; and the African Meeting House (1820) and Seneca Boston/Higginbotham House (1774) on Nantucket.
