The Poly is a live arts venue, arts cinema, galleries, community pottery and makers guild in a beautiful historic venue in the heart of Falmouth, Cornwall... The Cornwall Polytechnic Society (the Poly) was formed in 1833, the inspiration of Anna Maria and Caroline, the teenage daughters of Robert Were Fox of G.C. Fox & Co, a prominent Falmouth firm of shipping agents, and joint owners of the Perran Foundry... Based in an iconic listed building, we are dedicated to promoting engagement in the arts, sciences and Cornish history through film, live events, exhibitions, talks, our community pottery and workshops.
