ORONO ACTION

Orono Action is a nonpartisan committee of the Orono School Board with parent and community leadership that advocates for public education, specifically for the policies and funding that further the best educational outcomes for the students of our communities... Orono Schools (ISD #278) is located on a beautiful, 120-acre campus in Long Lake, Minnesota, in the west-metro area of Minneapolis. Organized in 1949, the district serves resident students in all or part of the following communities: Independence, Long Lake, Maple Plain, Medina, Minnetonka Beach and Orono. The statewide enrollment options program allows families who live outside school district boundaries to apply for open enrollment into Orono Schools... Orono Schools is pleased that the communities we serve take full advantage of the facilities and fields we own and maintain. We're incredibly proud to offer exciting fitness opportunities through the Orono Activities Center.
