Mike Beson has always had a passion for politics and community service. He has been working in and around the local, state and national political theaters since he was a teenager. He's worked as a volunteer, campaign manager and ran for office in 1999 to become the young mayor of Neptune, NJ. He has also served as a member of the Ocean Township Board of Education for 7 years.
Besides his passion for politics and public policy, Mike is a small business owner and he brings that unique perspective to the table. His company, Guide Publications, has been in business for 20 years, publishing targeted print and online job recruitment guides including the Jersey Job Guide.
Before entering the the private sector, Mike served as Congressman Frank Pallone's district director for over 10 years.
Previously, Mike was a Principal of Open Door Media (ODM) using his expertise in grassroots advocacy, communications and publishing to provide comprehensive communications services to clients.
Throughout his career, Mike has garnered attention for community-based campaigns throughout New Jersey. He has extensive experience in brand development and consulting having worked with clients such as Verizon, The Pew Charitable Trusts, Auto Alliance, National Popular Vote and others.
A graduate of Syracuse University, Mike's ultimate passion is for his family-wife Karen, and their four children. Now with Guide Strategies, Mike has brought his varied experience and experiences together so that he can help make positive and effective change that will benefit not only his family but his community and his clients as well.
Sydney is a graduate from the Ramapo College of New Jersey with a Bachelors in Political Science. Sydney has experience in state government and has lived abroad in Beijing, China. Sydney brings a fresh and creative outlook to Guide Strategies. She is also a photographer, and provides photography services to Guide Strategies clients. Sydney lives in Tinton Falls with her two dogs and her husband.
