VFM BEES

Started as an activity for my own mental health, VFM Bees is a beekeeping operation which began with a single hive in the spring of 2020. Today our hives have grown to seven, all of which are located on Mount Misery and around Valley Forge Mountain, adjacent to Valley Forge National Park, in Pennsylvania. The intent is to grow VFM Bees to approximately 20 hives over the next few years with geographically dispersed locations in our mountain community. It will remain a small operation, run by me, Heather Marandola, a member of the Chester County Beekeepers Association, participant in the Citizen Science Committee and holder of a Beekeeping 101 Certificate from Penn State Extension.
