With over 20 years of experience, Dawn Dunlop has experience with a range of companies from large and established to scrappy and full of heart. At Time Inc. she developed skills and expertise in all areas of HR, including Global Mobility and Immigration. She returned to the SF Bay Area and joined Current TV, which was acquired by Al Jazeera. She was integral in the buildup and launch of Al Jazeera America.
While running the HR, Recruiting and Facilities departments at ROBLOX she developed her enthusiasm for building and refining performance management processes that foster an environment of continuous feedback and learning.
She holds a BA from the University of California, Irvine and an MBA from the University of Edinburgh.
Jamal Johnson is an executive coach and trainer, specializing in Diversity and Inclusion. For the past two years he has led a monthly group, most recently housed at Thoughtworks NY, focused on unpacking issues of race and gender. His primary expertise is in leading groups in difficult conversations around identity. When working with individual clients, Jamal has articulated goals and created processes that led them to align their emotional lives with their obligations to their profession and the communities that matter to them. Jamal has appeared on NPR and lectures on race and emotional intelligence.
John Waechter is a seasoned hospitality and operational management professional with 10+ years of global experience. While he's a Bay Area Native, John's passion for challenging himself and expanding his perspective led him to begin his career overseas. He spent ten years honing his hospitality and leadership skills by managing hotels in Europe, Asia, and eventually back in the US. In 2016, John decided to challenge himself once again with a transition into the tech industry. He has since been an operational manager for the premium music video platform, Vevo, and is currently helping to scale small companies and build great cultures at Sunrise HR.
