CLEANTECH - Key Persons
Charlie is a Policy Analyst for Cleantech for UK, based in the UK. He focuses on advocating for regulatory and policy changes to enable cleantech investors and policy leaders to scale up sustainable innovation in the UK. Before joining Cleantech Group, Charlie worked as a Policy and Development Manager in the energy sector for a low-carbon heat network developer. Prior to this, he worked at the Confederation of British Industry and the Carbon Capture and Storage Association. His work has been centered around industrial decarbonization and the built environment.Charlie holds a degree in Marine Environmental Science and a Master's in Carbon Management from the University of Edinburgh.
Joel supports Cleantech for UK as a Communications Officer. He manages the initiative's online presence and supports with press outreach. He brings a depth of political experience from public affairs consulting and think-tank work, and has previously worked on other policy issues, such as combatting online disinformation. Joel graduated from Lund University and holds an executive diploma in Leadership, Organising and Action from the Harvard Kennedy School.
Sarah is the Director leading the Cleantech for UK initiative, building up a coalition of cleantech and policy leaders to scale up sustainable innovation in the UK. Before joining Cleantech Group, Sarah spent 11 years working for the UK civil service, primarily in energy and innovation policy and legislation. She began her career as a research associate working on carbon capture and storage. Sarah has a degree in Environmental Science, a Ph.D. in Isotope Geochemistry and a Master's in public policy.
