David McKee has extended his current role at GECO to become the Chief Technical Officer (CTO) for the Bio Capital Group.
Deborah joined Bio Capital in 2022 after working as a Renewables Consultant for the group. Deborah has worked in the renewables and waste sector for over 20 years, within management roles in Commercials, Transport and Project Management.
Currently Deborah is General Manager for the transport arm of the Group alongside supporting the COO in M&A opportunities
Declan joined Bio Capital in 2023 to the newly formed Projects team. With previous experience of senior project management of just under ten years, working specifically on the delivery of biomethane to grid projects across Britain.
George joined Bio Capital in September 2021. A highly experienced operations professional having spent 23 years in the hazardous waste management and resource recovery sector where he held roles as Site Chemist, Plant Manager and spent 8 years managing multi-site operational teams before joining Bio Capital. George has a HNC in Chemistry, a COTC and NEBOSH
Iain Pickles - Chief Commercial Officer
Iain joined the Bio Capital team in 2024, bringing with him over 10 years of experience in the organic waste and biogas sector.
Iain has a strong record in successfully developing commercial partnerships and solutions. In addition, he brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in project and bid management, commercial sales, and feedstock logistics.
Prior to working in AD, Iain had roles with a global consultancy firm, a waste treatment technology company and in local government.
Jake started as a site engineer and progressed through site management, bringing 9 years of experience in AD to the team. In his experience in the group, Jake oversaw large expansion at Emerald with growth from 4.5 Mw to 9 Mw as it is today and now he is the Operations Director for the group.

Karan joined the Bio Capital Team in 2023, and is a Finance professional (ACMA) graduating with a BA and MSc, with 14 years' experience working across Financial Services and Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) for multinational companies in their International markets. Although new to the renewable energy market, he has vast experience in partnering with all levels of an organisation and leading change with the smart use of data and analytics.
Joining Bio Capital in 2022, Kathryn is a Chartered Accountant FCA. She began her career in practice and following that, has over 15 years' experience of leading finance teams across a variety of industries. With experience at all levels of group accounting Kathryn's focus is on combining strong corporate governance and compliance with operational financial support to improve performance and profitability.
Joining the Bio Capital Team in 2021, Mary is a Commercial and Financial professional FCMA with over 34 year's experience at board level with UK public and private companies. Mary has worked in the sustainability sector for over fifteen years, including wind, solar and waste to energy.

As one of the original employees at Bio Capital, Mick has over 20 years of experience in the AD, organic waste, energy from waste and renewables sectors with extensive board level experience. Mick was the CEO of a listed waste management and renewable energy PLC and was previously MD of a highly successful waste recycling business. Prior to that, he was Operations Director of a clinical waste and ABP incineration business, having begun his career in the nuclear industry where he held roles as Plant Manager and Senior Commercial Manager in a chemical and ceramics business.

Joining the Bio Capital team in 2021, Pauline has been an integral part of the group for over 9 years. With a career spanning 14 years in people management, she has transitioned from an administrative role to her current leadership position, exemplifying dedication and continuous growth within the organisation. Pauline played a pivotal role in launching the HR function of Bio Capital, and developing the company values to shape the culture of the business.
Peter joined Bio Capital in 2021. Prior to Bio Capital he held a number of senior roles in the sustainability sector including renewable energy, waste and water. He has a BSc in Chemistry from Imperial College and also a MSc and MBA. After university he had a first career as an Army Officer.

Tom has 14 years' experience working in resource management and renewable energy including the MBT, composting, Energy from Waste, and AD sectors. Tom has a BSc and an MSC in Environmental Technology from Imperial College and is NEBOSH qualified. Throughout his career Tom has held a number of operational and compliance roles and is focused on ensuring that Bio Capital's operations are delivered with the highest standards of safety, health, environmental, and sustainability management.
Tom Hall - Chief Commercial Officer
Tom is the Chief Commercial Officer for Bio Capital with responsibility for driving growth through leveraging value from energy, feedstock and biofertiliser.
Prior to joining Bio Capital Tom headed up the BioResources business at Yorkshire Water, leading the modernisation of the sludge digestion and recycling business. During his tenure he moved the business from bottom of the industry in comparative efficiency to upper quartile.
Before Yorkshire Water, Tom held roles at Equitix, leading bids and acquisitions in the renewable energy sector, most notably the acquisition of a portfolio of hydro assets. Before that, Tom was an executive director at Kelda Water Services and led on the sale of the group businesses through 6 different sale processes.
Tom has extensive commercial; experience in the waste, renewables, energy and water sector.
