Dr. King Kim

Dr. Kim's journey to oral surgery and facial cosmetic surgery has spanned the United States and enabled him to travel the world to provide complete specialized surgical care to many communities.

Dr. Richard W. Schmid

Dr. Rick Schmid grew up in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan where he attended Michigan State University and graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology before achieving his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. Originally, he had planned on becoming an orthodontist, but was intrigued by the excitement exuded by the surgical residents already enrolled in the anesthesia, oral and maxillofacial programs. The intellectual challenge beckoned him to pursue the specialty where he quickly found passion, and his aptitude for the program enabled him to excel in the specialty. After practicing general dentistry for four years Dr. Schmid went on to earn certificates in oral and maxillofacial surgery at both the Detroit Macomb Hospital Association and the Children's Hospital of Michigan programs.

Dr. Tyler Banachowski

Dr. Tyler Banachowski, DDS grew up in Ohio. He graduated from the University of Toledo with an undergraduate degree in biology, intending on becoming a dentist. He learned about military opportunities for dentists while serving military bases at a summer college program called Camp Adventure. A passion for oral surgery was fostered during his third year at dental school. Upon graduating, he was awarded the Hillenbrand-Lupton Award for Clinical Excellence in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He began his career in the Advanced Education General Dentistry program at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida. This was followed by 4 years in an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at San Antonio Military Medical Center. Dr Banachowski is Board Certified and his practice includes the full scope of oral and Maxillofacial surgery with a special focus on bone grafting and dental implants. Dr. Banachowski graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Dentistry. He was awarded the Hillenbrand-Lupton Award for Clinical Excellence in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

King Kim

Dr. King Kim's journey to oral surgery and facial cosmetic surgery has spanned the United States and enabled him to travel the world to provide complete specialized surgical care to many communities. He earned a Bachelor of Psychology from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah where he also began his study of medicine. He then attended the University of Pittsburgh where he achieved a D.M.D degree. In search of continuing his pursuit in the specialty of oral and maxillofacial surgery, Dr. Kim earned a certificate in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from Nova Southeastern University/Broward General Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. While in South Florida for his residency, Dr. Kim trained at Memorial Regional Hospital, Baptist Hospital, South Miami Hospital, Broward General Medical Center and Doctors Hospital in South Miami. During his residency, Dr. Kim instilled a passion for facial cosmetic surgery. This led him to complete a fellowship in Facial Cosmetic Surgery at Baptist Golden Triangle Hospital in Columbus, Mississippi. He is a board examiner for the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and a board examiner for the American Board of Facial Cosmetic Surgery.
