Currently, Higley Girls Lacrosse is the only high school girls lacrosse program in Gilbert and takes in players from Gilbert, Mesa, and Queen Creek high schools... The Higley Girls Lacrosse program was founded by Whitney Leavitt in 2019, and has transformed from a newly established program to a perennial powerhouse in just a few short years. In back-to-back State Championship appearances, the Lady Knights claimed the Division II Championship in 2021 and nearly repeated one season later after moving up divisions as Division I State Championship Runner-up in 2022.
