Joe Colao comes from a long line of stone masons with Joe Sr. being a first generation Italian stone mason working along the Hudson River in New York. JR Peter is a Registered Landscape Architect having graduated from Virginia Tech, one of the top architecture programs in the nation... Colao & Peter is an award-winning landscape architecture and construction firm serving Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, D.C. We specialize in residential and commercial projects including site design and construction of custom pools, spas, decks, carpentry, and masonry, as well as hardscape, landscape, lawn maintenance, and more... Colao & Peter's approach and process today has not changed from when we first started the firm, we have always wanted to maintain a client first, no ego driven design.
