ORCHARD GLOBAL - Key Persons
Mr. Weber is Head of EMEA of Orchard Global. He also serves as Chief Executive of Orchard Global Asset Management LLP, the firm's UK affiliate, and heads the firm's structuring group globally. Prior to joining Orchard Global in 2012, Mr. Weber owned and operated his own consulting firm that advised MF Global UK in Special Administration and certain creditors of Lehman Brothers Finance SA. From 2008 to 2011, Mr. Weber was head of the European Capital Markets and Derivatives unwind team for Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. Before that, he held various roles at Lehman Brothers, RBS Greenwich Capital, and J.P. Morgan.
Mr. Weber holds a BA in Economics and Mathematics from Colby College. He has an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and an MPA from the London School of Economics. Mr. Weber is a CFA Charterholder and is a Chartered Institute of Securities & Investment ("CISI") member.
Mr. Gentzel is the Chief Operating Officer of Orchard Global. Prior to joining Orchard Global he was the CEO of Capula Investment Management, a fixed-income & macro hedge fund, having joined as President & COO in 2017. Prior to Capula, Mr. Gentzel worked 19 years at Deutsche Bank. Having joined the Global Markets graduate training programme, he spent the first ten years trading interest rate derivatives before holding various leadership positions, most recently as COO of Fixed Income and Currencies following roles as Chief Information Officer / Co-Head of Technology and Operations for Global Markets & Corporate Finance, and Global Head of Listed Derivatives.
Mr. Gentzel holds a BSc in Management from the London School of Economics.
Mr. Tan is Head of Asia Pacific of Orchard Global. He also serves as Chief Executive of Orchard Global Asset Management (S) Pte Ltd, the firm's Asia affiliate and heads the firm's legal structuring group globally. Prior to joining Orchard Global, Mr. Tan held various origination, structuring, and distribution leadership roles. He established and led the fund solutions group in the securities division at Morgan Stanley in Hong Kong as well as the structured funds business at HSBC Global Markets in London, before co-heading the same group in Asia. Mr. Tan began his career at Allen & Overy LLP in London, specializing in structured finance and derivatives law.
Mr. Tan has an MA in Jurisprudence from Trinity College, University of Oxford, and is an alumnus of Harvard Business School. He is a qualified Solicitor in England and Wales and an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore.
Ms. Guo is Chief Financial Officer at Orchard Global. Prior to joining Orchard Global, Ms. Guo was a Managing Director at The Carlyle Group, where she was Fund CFO for Carlyle Global Credit's Liquid Credit & Credit Strategic Solutions business. She was responsible for all finance, accounting, operations, valuation, performance, investor reporting and tax oversight for the business. Prior to joining Caryle, Ms. Guo was a Manager at Ernst & Young LLP Financial Services Office Assurance practice.
Ms. Guo holds a BBA, Accounting from Baruch College and is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of New York.
John R. Young - Chief Investment Officer
Mr. Young is Chief Investment Officer of Orchard Global. He is also the Senior Portfolio Manager for the EleganTree Fund, the EleganTree 2015 Tactical Fund, the Black Forest Fund, and the Taiga Fund. Prior to joining Orchard Global, Mr. Young was at Merrill Lynch in London, where he started and developed the Structured Illiquid Credit Trading Desk. Before Merrill Lynch, Mr. Young was at Deutsche Bank in London where he helped form and lead a solutions-driven trading desk within Structured Credit Trading/Principal Finance. Prior to this role at Deutsche Bank, he was in the firm's Global Relative Value Group. Earlier in his career, Mr. Young worked at Aon Risk Services, focusing on risk management strategies for corporations in the natural resource sector.
Mr. Young holds a BA from the Plan II Honors Program at The University of Texas at Austin and has an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Mr. Bergeron is President of Orchard Global, responsible for the firm's Sustainability and external engagements efforts. Mr. Bergeron was a co-founder of Orchard Global's predecessor firm. Before that, Mr. Bergeron was at Deutsche Bank, where he focused on equity derivatives and other structured products. Prior to that, Mr. Bergeron was a derivatives marketer and structurer at Bankers Trust. Earlier in his career, he also spent time at Nomura Securities, Aureus Capital, and Casgrain & Company, where he traded a variety of fixed-income instruments.
Mr. Bergeron holds a BCom in Finance from McGill University and is a CFA Charterholder. He is a member of the CFA Societies of the U.K., Houston, and Austin.
Mr. Ford is a Principal of Orchard Global, leading the firm's client activities in Canada. Mr. Ford worked at Orchard Global's predecessor firm and before that, he was Co-Head of the Global Markets Group for Deutsche Bank in Canada from 1994 to 2007. Prior to that, Mr. Ford was at Security Pacific Bank in London, where he assisted in the creation of a derivatives group focused on interest rate and currency risk management and capital markets arbitrage. Earlier in his career, Mr. Ford was a founding member of the derivatives team at First National Bank of Chicago.
Mr. Ford holds a BA in Economics from Brown University and has an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Mr. Horvath is the Chief Executive Officer of Orchard Global. Prior to co-founding Orchard Global, Mr. Horvath held leadership roles in credit, structured credit, alternative assets, and derivatives at J.P Morgan and Merrill Lynch from 1994 to 2008. Earlier in his career, Mr. Horvath held positions at Bear Stearns and the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.
Mr. Horvath is a Trustee of the Washington National Cathedral and has served on and chaired the Investment Committees for the Washington National Cathedral, the National Cathedral School, and the Protestant Episcopalian Cathedral Foundation. Mr. Horvath is the Chairman of the Board of the Hungarian American Institute, is on the Board of Regents of Georgetown University, and serves on John's Hopkins Joint Krieger Advisory Board Executive Committee & Physics and Astronomy Council. He sits on the President's Council of the National Constitution Center and is a founding Board Member and Treasurer of the American Friends of the Munich Security Conference.
Mr. Horvath holds a BS in Economics and International Relations from Georgetown University and has an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Mr. Michaud is Global Head of Compliance and General Counsel of Orchard Global. Prior to this role, Mr. Michaud worked at Orchard Global's predecessor firm, where he was responsible for legal affairs, including deal structuring and execution. Earlier in his career, he served in senior management roles at Fairway Capital Management and Skylon Advisors. Prior to that, he was a Director in Regulatory Affairs at AT&T Canada. Mr. Michaud began his legal career in the litigation group at McMillan LLP in Toronto, with a focus on competition, banking, and securities law.
Mr. Michaud is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada.
Mr. Michaud holds LLB and BCL degrees from McGill University and an MBA from the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management.

Ms. Muller is the Chief Human Resources Officer of Orchard Global. Prior to joining Orchard Global, Ms. Muller was employed at Simmons & Company International from 2005 to 2016, as their Director of Human Resources. Ms. Muller was tasked with creating a Human Resource Department to manage the life cycle of an employee, including the onboarding, performance management, employee relations, recruiting, internships and learning processes at the boutique investment bank. Prior to Simmons, Ms. Muller worked at Ernst & Young, L.L.P. as their Gulf Coast Area People Leader.
Ms. Muller holds a Bachelor of Accountancy from the University of Mississippi and a Masters in Professional Accounting with a Concentration in Tax Consulting from University of Texas at Austin. She is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR) designation through the Human Resource Certification Institute.
