Newtown Soccer Club was founded by Al Taubert to help children from kindergarten through high school learn about teamwork, sportsmanship and most importantly, how to play soccer while gaining self-respect for themselves... The mission of Newtown Soccer Club is to provide a safe and positive environment within which the children in our program can learn, develop, and most importantly enjoy their soccer experience. To that end, we have provided this Code of Conduct which we expect to see consistently employed. It is a written reminder that whether playing at a Recreational, Travel or Premier level, soccer is supposed to be fun for the children, and that in addition to technical and tactical development, the concepts of sportsmanship, trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness and good citizenship are taught and demonstrated by players, coaches, parents and spectators.
