Second Chance Farm began in 2007 and is owned by Larry and Lynda Balins located in Littlestown, Pennsylvania near Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. It was named after Lynda's show pony Second Chance and because both Larry and Lynda were previously married. Lynda has spent her entire life around horses and originally showed hunter jumpers as a youth. Lynda was AQHA rookie of the year in 2007 followed by Larry in 2008 showing At Last In Gold "Elvis" a beautiful palomino halter horse. In 2009 the Balins purchased Jus Passin Time Chip "Ernie" and Lynda and Ernie accomplished many awards including Reserve Champion Novice Championship East Coast in Select Showmanship. Ernie is retired and enjoys his days doing nothing on the farm. The Balins purchased Chips Good Rodder "Chip" at the Congress sale as a yearling.
