Our mission is to establish a community of lifelong learners through a collaborative effort of teachers, students, administrators, and parents. Instruction and student achievement will be driven by the highest standards and expectations as reflected in the performance of all students... As a Magnet School we have many new programs to enhance our academic curriculum. We currently serve students in grades 3K to Fifth Grade. PS198 is a unique school located in East Flatbush, Brooklyn. Our goal is to provide our students with a nurturing and secure environment that is conducive to all students' intellectual, emotional, and social development... We are a magnet school within the New York City DOE. As a magnet school, we are a public school, but we are open to any student within the five boroughs of New York City, not just students in our zone. Our magnet school grant provides additional funding to support special programs, facilities, and partnerships around our magnet theme.
