With the vast majority of food in the U.S. being bought from grocery stores and roughly 50% of produce overall being thrown away, we think folks want a way to make a dent in their collective energy footprint and waste output. Whether that means contributing just a bit less to CO2 emissions by getting your lemon from the neighbor (instead of the local store), or giving away some apples instead of letting them rot on the ground, we want to help... We've always been believers in the concept of 'You are what you eat'. With that in mind, we want to provide communities with a simple way to find and access some of the most delicious and nutritious food available: Produce grown close to home.
