IULI GERBASE

Iuli graduated in Cinema and has a Master's degree in Creative Writing. Before The Pink Cloud, she worked as assistant director for many Brazilian productions and as a writer for two TV series. During that period, she kept writing and directing her own short films, including A PEDRA, which premiered at the 2018 Havana Film Festival and was awarded in many Brazilian festivals. In a critical review on the website Papo de Cinema, Iuli's work in The Stone was acclaimed as "firm in her intentions and absolutely in control of her story, (…) taking advantage of this familiar microcosm designed to reflect a world that seems to be always about to crumble"... She is currently developing new films that, like her debut feature, are intimate and play with genre in a grounded way.
