The International Conference on Organic Photonics and Electronics (ICOPE) and The International Conference on Organic Nonlinear Optics series (ICONO), organized together, have been powerhouse for the exchange of viable ideas related to this very active area of research since the foundation of the series in the 1990s by Mark Kuzyk (ICONO‘0' in Pullman, Washington, USA) and Francois Kajzar (ICONO1 in Val Thorens, France). The informal nature of the conference provides an especially fertile milieu for new ideas and collaboration. The conference usually takes place every 18-24 months and moves around the globe from the Americas to Asia/Pacific to Europe. The three most recent meetings were held in Dublin (2011), Beijing (2009) and Santa Fe (2008). The 2022 Nara ICONO / ICOPE conference is the 13th of the series...
