FLAHERTY ENGINEERING - Key Persons
Mr. Petersen joined Flaherty Engineering in 2022, bringing with him over 20 years of Caltrans experience as a scheduler and office engineer. Bill ran the Rocklin Construction Office for Caltrans North Region over the past decade, while also assisting in several other offices concurrently.
Dave joined Flaherty Engineering as the CFO in 2020 after a 15-year career in the financial investment and management industry as a head bond trader and financial analyst. Dave brings his financial and business background to help bolster the Flaherty Engineering Inc platform.
Emma joined Flaherty Engineering in 2022, and oversees all day to day operations. Flaherty is a US Air Force Veteran who worked with the National Security Agency. Currently pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering and recently passing the EIT exam, Flaherty has Caltrans experience working on bridges, highways, ADA ramps, storm drain systems, sewer main lines, and more.
Kacie joined Flaherty Engineering in 2020 with 15 years of experience in the construction management space as an owner of a private construction business. Kacie brings a wealth of construction knowledge to Flaherty Engineering as an office engineer in Caltrans District 2.
Keith founded Flaherty Engineering Inc in 2017 to continue a career that already spanned over 30 years as a civil engineer in both the public and private sector. Working with the Army Corps of Engineers and Caltrans, Keith has built a reputation for being able to complete complicated projects on time and under budget.

Mark joined Flaherty Engineering in 2023 with over 22 years of public works construction management experience serving as assistant resident engineer and lead field inspector for Caltrans. Mark is proficient in micro-station and is often asked to evaluate and resolve stage construction on projects. Experience includes bridges, highways, storm drain systems, sewer main lines, domestic water systems, joint utility trench, street lighting system, grading operation, roadway structural sections, asphalt and concrete placement, environmental compliance, public relations and traffic control implementation.
Ron joined Flaherty Engineering in 2020. With over 30 years of experience in the construction and engineering industry, Mr. Rasmussen is experienced in all aspects of field and office construction engineering work. Inspection of non-structural construction operations, traffic control system compliance, contract change order preparation, and SWPPP compliance monitoring and enforcement are his areas of expertise.
Steve joined Flaherty Engineering in 2019 with more than 30 years of experience in the construction and engineering industry serving as an office engineer, resident engineer, assistant resident engineer, and field inspector for public works projects such as water/wastewater plants, pipelines, light rail systems, and commercial buildings, among others.

Steve joined Flaherty in 2019 with over 39 years of experience in construction management and civil engineering, serving as a construction manager, senior supervising inspector, consultant area manager, field services coordinator, and owner of his own firm.

Ted joined Flaherty engineering in 2022 continuing a long career in construction management. Mr. Herd has over 30 years of construction management experience directing a full range of infrastructure projects. Project experience includes major interstate highway widening, bridge builds, light rail work, hybrid toll projects, and major underground infrastructure work.
