FEI ZHANG LAB

Our group designs, constructs, and applies DNA and RNA nanostructures and nanodevices. By exploiting Watson-Crick base pairings, we can fold a long nucleic acid strand, a scaffold strand, into a desired form through self-assembly. We create both 2D and 3D nanostructures and even some that can move and change conformation! Our work also entails interfacing DNA with other functional materials and characterizing those materials. The applications of DNA and RNA nanostructures includes: biosensing, drug delivery, bioimaging, and computing... Biomolecular Design Lab at Rutgers. Our Group works on self-assembling biomolecular building blocks to create nanoarchitectures with structural complexity and functional diversity.
