With a comprehensive knowledge and over a decade of successful project management and implementation in the development sector Shamira Mostafa is currently the chairperson of Baah Store Ltd. She is also actively working in SAJIDA Foundation (leading Non- government development organization in Bangladesh) as General Manager, Research, managing research operations, facilitating program team with data driven insights to design iterative programs.
She was the Investment Lead & Communications Focal in Business Finance for the poor in Bangladesh, Nathan- Dhaka, Bangladesh (UK Aid funded financial sector and micro and small enterprise focused development project in Bangladesh). She managed GBP 2 million portfolio in alternative credit scoring, micro merchant financing and impact investment space to extend business development support and financing to more than 1 million micro and small enterprises. Where she prepared, technical due diligence reports facilitating investment committee decisions. Governing monitoring and result measurement process of investments to evaluate achievements against the program's target.
Previous to this, she was Sr. Business Consultant at Katalyst, Swisscontact- Dhaka, Bangladesh (The first pro-poor market development project in Bangladesh) till 2018. where she managed $1 million portfolio under Katalyst's Maize sector to provide and supervised 7 interventions implemented by 2 agencies and 12 private agribusiness companies in over 50 districts in Bangladesh. She governed 3 challenge fund projects targeted to benefit ultimately 30,000 farmers where women beneficiaries are embedded in the intervention design.
In her early career, she worked at ACI Foods Limited in the product team Then also at Sample6, USA after completing of Master of Science in Communications at Lasell University, Boston, USA.
