Semih Ergur obtained his BSc, MSc in Mechanical Engineering, MBA in Business Management from Middle East Technical University, Turkey. Then, he got his PhD in Engineering from University of Manchester, UK.
He has worked as a senior VP with Citibank Investment Banking group covering Central Asian Countries including Armenia, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Mongolia out of Turkey.
He then worked as CEO and member of Board of Directors at Calik Holding, Gama Energy-a subsidiary of general Electric, Akfen Holding and IC Investment Holding.
He has managed companies in energy, infrastructure, construction, concessions, telecom, oil and gas. He has closed a number of M&A, acquisition, IPO, project finance and privatization transactions.
Currently he is lecturing at Bilkent University, Turkey, senior students on "Corporate Finance" and advising international firms investing in the region.
