Hilsher's General Store is still a family business with 3 generations now involved. We operate with over 30 full-time and part-time employees... Originally the store was called John C. Herrold's General Store and began about 1910, by John C. Herrold. As time went by, his son George joined him in the business. In 1973 the business was moved from the original building to its present location. In 1974 Richard and Lois Hilsher acquired the store and in 1977 the name was changed to Hilsher's General Store...
