Herberg Molecaten is originated at a water mill . This water mill on the Molecatense brook has a top wheel rad. It is one of the oldest water mills in the Veluwe (around 1597). After the Second World War there also came a restaurant. Herberg Molecaten is now also the starting point of the Assenradepad.
