The Lubbock County Expo Center (LCEC) is a public/private partnership venture involving no county tax dollars at any level. The public side and subsequent revenue bond is financially supported by the 2 percent Hotel Occupancy (HOT) that was voted into play by Lubbock County citizens in November 2018. The LCEC 501(c)3 is strictly based on donations received through the private and corporate sectors in the way of naming rights, philanthropic donations and personal donations from Lubbock County residents. In addition, the LCEC has 30 acres of land that it will be selling at 100 percent of proceeds going toward the project...
The Lubbock County Expo Center is a public/private partnership. Approximately 1/2 of the funding for LCEC will come from private donations. LCEC is a 501c3.
