D3 Research LLC is a small business specializing in gunsmithing and firearm customization based out of Puyallup, WA. Started in 2017, our background is in mechanical and R&D work. Rich has an associate degree in mechanical design and drawing along with 11 years' worth of experience in R&D machining and destructive testing (yes, it is as fun as it sounds). Lisa also has an associate degree in mechanical design and drawing as well as a BS in mechanical engineering from Sacramento State. Lisa is a licensed professional mechanical engineer with both construction and manufacturing experience... We offer a wide variety of services, including custom coating, custom design, repair, modification, and refinishing. We can coat almost anything metal, most hard plastics, even wood. As a KG Endorsed Applicator, we prefer KG Gun Kote for our custom coating projects. However, we are able to apply Cerakote and DuraCoat on request.
