At Bandicoot, we are dedicated to helping reduce waste in the textile industries. We do this by providing manufacturers and retailers with a straightforward and inexpensive way to digitise fabrics, reducing the need for shipping physical swatches to brands and designers... Bandicoot is a Sydney-based start-up created by four ex-employees of CiSRA (Canon's Australian research facility). Whilst at CiSRA, researching new technologies for material capture, we were dismayed to learn of how much waste there is in the fashion industry. We saw an immediate opportunity to support the textile industry's shift to digital. Starting from the ground up, we researched and developed our own technology to offer an easy, inexpensive way to create digital fabrics from physical swatches...
