Rhode Island Food Policy Council (RIFPC) is a statewide statewide collaboration of diverse, committed and engaged stakeholders from all sectors of the food system. We create partnerships, develop policies, and advocate for improvements to the local food system to increase and expand its capacity, viability, and sustainability... We are working to build and maintain a network of committed stakeholders from across the local food system. We center equity, accessibility, economic vitality, and environmental sustainability... A land acknowledgement cannot fulfill all needs or goals. However, it is important to start somewhere. We strive to include and empower Indigenous voices, nations, organizations, and people as well as Indigenous-led campaigns for environmental justice, land and water rights and ultimately land return to Indigenous nations.
