Alex S. Hopkins is a passionate advocate, committed to standing up for the rights of workers throughout Michigan. Alex leverages his extensive experience in complex commercial litigation and keen analytical skills to provide unwavering support to the firm's clients.
Prior to joining the Hurwitz Law team, Alex practiced as a commercial litigator and counselled small businesses and multi-national corporations across a diverse range of legal issues, including contractual and intellectual property disputes before the Federal Court of Australia. He practiced before state and federal courts and tribunals across Australia. He also worked as clerk to two senior Members of the Australian Administrative Appeals Tribunal, gaining extensive experience in complex administrative and constitutional law disputes. During law school, he gained advocacy experience volunteering for the Monash University Legal Clinic, and various community legal centers across Melbourne.
Alex was raised in Melbourne, Australia where he graduated from Monash University with a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Philosophy and International Relations, and a Juris Doctor. He is admitted to High Court of Australia, and the Supreme Court of Victoria, Australia. He relocated to Ann Arbor, Michigan in July 2022. When Alex is not advocating for the firm's clients, he enjoys hiking, cooking, and exploring his new hometown with his partner and his dog.

Colin H. Wilkin is committed to advocating for the rights of workers everywhere. He utilizes experience gained litigating on behalf of large companies to give his clients an edge in complex, fast paced employment law matters. Colin has an eye for discovering critical facts and a penchant for analyzing difficult legal issues based on the inside knowledge of appellate law he gained serving as a Judicial Intern with the Michigan Court of Appeals Research Division. Colin embraces the difficult challenge of fighting for the underdog, having developed a competitive spirit during his days an elite lacrosse athlete.
Colin was raised in Brighton, Michigan and is a graduate of Michigan State University where he double majored in Economics and International Relations through the James Madison College. Colin earned his law degree from Michigan State University College of Law where he graduated with Magna Cum Laude honors. During law school, Colin was an active Moot Court participant, which sharpened his courtroom skills. He was also the Business Editor of the Animal and Natural Resources Law Review due to his advanced writing and research skills. When Colin is not fighting for his clients, he enjoys playing golf, snowboarding, and walking his dog.

Judith was born and raised in Ann Arbor, Michigan and is a graduate of the Ann Arbor Public Schools. She received her bachelor's degree from Eastern Michigan University. She loves solving problems and has spent her career facilitating communication and solutions for people from the ages of three to ninety plus years old. As Client Services Coordinator, Judith interacts with potential and current clients daily, providing support and a friendly voice at all hours of the day, even on weekends.
Outside of work, Judith is a devoted aunt to her wonderful nephews. She loves dogs, Michigan Wolverines sports and musical theater. As a testament to her patient and tolerant nature she is also a lifelong Detroit Lions and Detroit Tigers fan. She loves listening to music and feels guilty about her fondness for reality tv shows.

Kara F. Krause is committed to safeguarding the civil rights of employees across Michigan, including freedom from unlawful discrimination and harassment.
Kara graduated with honors from the University of Illinois College of Law, where she received a full-tuition scholarship. During law school, she zealously represented clients while participating in the Veterans Legal Clinic and gained invaluable experience while serving as an Edward Coles Fellow for the Illinois Human Rights Commission, a quasi-judicial agency that adjudicates civil rights complaints. She also worked as a Summer Law Clerk for the City of Chicago Department of Law's Employment Litigation Division.
Kara was born and raised in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan. After graduating, she went on to work for another law firm specializing in civil rights and employment law, which sparked her interest in law.
Kara began practicing law at an insurance defense law firm in Detroit, Michigan immediately after her admittance to the bar, where her work included defending civil rights cases filed against Starbucks Corporation and Marriott International.
Kara enjoys reading, cooking, spending time with her family, and taking advantage of what the city has to offer, when she is not zealously advocating for her clients.

Noah S. Hurwitz is a trusted advisor and advocate for clients looking to be on the right side of the law. Mr. Hurwitz utilizes his experience as a former partner of a national law firm and in-house counsel for America's largest mortgage lender to counsel employees and businesses on a vast array of employment law issues. Mr. Hurwitz regularly advises on employment agreements, restrictive covenants, discrimination, whistleblowing, misappropriation of trade secrets, risk management, wage and hour law, handbook policies, and employee benefits. He is also a seasoned litigator in state and federal courts throughout Michigan and has successfully litigated matters involving the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA). Mr. Hurwitz is an expert in appellate law, having argued appeals before the Michigan Court of Appeals and the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
Mr. Hurwitz believes that there is always a right decision to be made at any point in time given the circumstances. He thrives in assisting clients with identifying the relevant information, considering all the options, and recommending the best course of action.
