ENERGISING SWADLINCOTE

Depot 3 has previously played a part in the UK power industry as it was a former coal transfer station. This new proposal will add an Energy Recovery Facility and an Aggregates Recovery Facility, adjacent to the existing Materials Recovery Facility on the site, offering Derbyshire a comprehensive and sustainable solution for its waste. This private sector investment of upwards of £150 million will create Swadlincote Resource Recovery Park - a hub for post-recycled waste recovery, recycling, reuse and green energy.
