Juan Camilo Fonseca - CFO, COO

Mr. Fonseca serves as CFO/COO of AshmoreAVENIDA and is responsible for the different Funds financial reporting and controlling. Mr. Fonseca has over 15 years of experience leading external and compliance audits, consulting, controlling, due diligence and oversight of financial and administrative processes. Prior to joining Ashmore, Mr. Fonseca worked for Ernst & Young´s offices in Madrid and Bogota where he was responsible for planning, execution and control of external audit projects, financial and accounting advisory, among other consulting services. Also responsible for the technical and regulatory compliance, budgetary, financial and strategic aspects of the projects in charge, as well for achieving sales goal of COP$ 3 billion/year, KPIs, and supervision of work teams of more than 30 people. Mr. Fonseca is a Colombian CPA (Certified Public Accountant) from Universidad Externado de Colombia, and is fluent in English and Japanese.

Michael Teich - CEO, Founder

Mr. Teich serves as CEO of AshmoreAVENIDA and is a member of the Investment Committee. Mr. Teich is a founder of AshmoreAVENIDA, where he is responsible for local partner relationships, deal sourcing, and investment structuring as well as asset management. Prior to founding AshmoreAVENIDA, Mr. Teich was a Vice President at Latin America for Global Market Services, Inc., where he was responsible for overseeing the platform for the sale of construction materials in Latin America.

Oscar Ardila

Mr. Ardila serves as Institutional Business Development Executive for private real estate at Ashmore. Mr. Ardila leads business development and investor relations across private real estate investment vehicles, and is part of the ESG and responsible investing task force in charge of the integration of impact and environmental, social and governance factors in the investment decision-making process and execution of the real estate development portfolios. Prior to his current role, Mr. Ardila was Head of Investor Relations and Responsible Investing at AshmoreAVENIDA, the real estate investing arm of the Ashmore Group in Latin America. From that position, he led the design of the AshmoreAVENIDA's responsible investment policy, the AshmoreAVENIDA Impact Framework. Mr. Ardila also oversaw the integration of climate change, gender and impact consideration, as well as diligence processes and negotiation of ESG terms for portfolio projects. Mr. Ardila completed his M.A. as a Fulbright Scholar at Columbia University in New York.
