We are a small London based architectural practice working in two distinct fields: Community based design, often for the charitable sector; and private residential design... We aim to design beautiful, practical, inspiring living environments. Conrad has a wealth of experience in residential design, and has worked on many projects from small loft conversions to large multi unit developments. However the experience of working in economically challenging environments has brought an added rigour and interest in cost effective design... The community/ development work is often based in developing countries, within a different culture and climate, sometimes with considerable cost constraints and logistical construction challenges. We are interested in low energy passive design, in the use of local materials, in economic construction, in technical innovation, and take inspiration from local vernacular, both traditional and modern.
