What can a former professional triathlete bring to the world of project management?
Quite a lot. Projects are like ultra marathons. There are different skills required, a lot of hard work and a deep passion for the process. Well if you swam two kilometres, cycled for 180 then ran a marathon, you'd want to love it too.

Don Morris AO BEc DUniv Griff is the former Chair of both Tourism Australia and Tourism Queensland, and a former director of Harvey World Travel, the Tourism & Transport Forum, Port Douglas Reef Resorts, Tourism Asset Holdings and Hamilton Island Enterprises.
Don was co-founder of Mojo Advertising creators of famous campaigns such as ‘C'mon Aussie C'mon' for World Series Cricket, ‘I Still Call Australia Home' for Qantas and Paul Hogan's iconic ‘Slip an extra shrimp on the Barbie' for Australian Tourism.
In the 2002 Australian Honours, Don was appointed an Officer in the Order of Australia (AO) for services to tourism.
Don brings his decades of client service and tourism experience to the Pure team. He was attracted to them because "Project managers are too often seen as a bunch of boring blokes in suits, the official coordinators of construction logistics. But Pure is very different. Uniquely, Pure's talented people bring to the table the crucial elements of creativity, teamwork and enduring client relationships."
For Don, Pure has a unique culture, with an atmosphere that he's seen in successful ad agencies and the best creative enterprises. "It's a feel you get when you walk in the door. It's a collaborative, energetic, people driven environment - not typically bureaucratic, hierarchical and systems driven. The ‘Pure' name says it all."
There's also a palpable sense of pride in the outcome of a project, something to which Don brings his hard-bitten tourism perspective.
