Dr. Ahad completed his General Surgery Residency and Research Fellowship at Providence Hospital in Southfield, MI. He completed his Minimally Invasive Surgery Fellowship at The University of Texas Medical School at Houston Department of Surgery in Houston, TX. Dr. Ahad was a Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at The Commonwealth Medical College in Scranton, PA.
Dr. Dawn Morey's patient care philosophy is based upon interactive communication between the patient and the physician. Communication is the essential link to gaining an understanding of a patient's medical history and resolving any surgical issues, both physically and emotionally. As a doctor of osteopathic medicine (DO), Dr. Morey is fully trained and licensed to prescribe medications and perform surgery. She utilizes all medically accepted scientific methods to maintain and restore your health. She will work closely with your primary care physician to consider all your medical needs.
Dr. Morey offers services including general surgery, laparoscopic procedures, minimally invasive surgery, ultrasound-guided breast biopsies, colonoscopy and endoscopy. She is dedicated to meeting the needs of the overall community and providing on-call surgical coverage to the Blue Water Area; and, as needed, to patients at Deckerville Community Hospital.
Dr. Morey received her medical degree from the University of Health Sciences, College of Osteopathic Medicine, in Kansas City, Missouri. She completed her residency at Genesys Regional Medical Center, in Grand Blanc, Michigan; and is Board Certified in General Surgery. She has been in practice for more than 20 years.
Dr. Ibrahim takes pride in having served the Port Huron community for many years. After completing medical school in 1974 with Honors, Dr. Ibrahim joined the Royal College of Surgeons in Dublin, Ireland in 1981. Dr. Ibrahim continued his training in ophthalmology in New York's Catholic Medical Center affiliated with Cornell University. Dr. Ibrahim completed fellowship training in Glaucoma at the University of Nebraska where he served as Chief Ophthalmologist at the Veteran Administration Hospital.
Dr. Ibrahim is a glaucoma consultant and performs the newest glaucoma laser procedures and surgical techniques. He also completed certification in laser refractive surgery. Dr. Ibrahim has performed countless cataract surgeries and laser procedures.
Dr. Betrus grew up in metropolitan Detroit. He obtained his undergraduate degree at Western Michigan University prior to attending medical school at Wayne State University. He chose the field of urology due to the wide variety of medical and surgical conditions he would treat. After completing his urology residency at Wayne State University in 1993, he joined Urology Associates of Port Huron.
Dr. Betrus is on staff at Lake Huron Medical Center, McLaren Port Huron, and Lakeshore Surgery Center. He is a Lakeshore Surgery Center Board Member. He has also been a member of numerous committees at all 3 institutions. Since completing his residency, he has taken post-graduate training courses for laser therapy and prostate brachytherapy. Dr. Betrus treats a wide range of urologic disorders. His particular areas of interest include the treatment of urologic cancers, kidney stones, and BPH.
Dr. Betrus is married and has 3 children. His interests include boating, fishing, traveling, and tennis. He is an avid sports fan and is active in the community.
Dr. Krishna Valjee plays an integral role in elevating the quality of care in our community and has taken an active role in all forms and processes that impact patient health. He has held several leadership positions at Lake Huron Medical Center, Lakeshore Surgery Center, and St. Clair County Medical Society including Chief of Department, Chief of Staff, Board of Trustees, Credentials Committee and Cancer Committee Co-Chair, to name a few. Dr. Valjee is a true patient advocate.
Dr. Valjee provides services including general surgeries, laparoscopic procedures, minimally invasive surgeries, ultrasound-guided breast biopsies, colonoscopy and endoscopy.
Dr. Valjee received his Medical Degree from the University of Natal in Durban, South Africa. He performed his Internship and Residency programs at Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, Michigan and became Fellowship trained in Colon and Rectal Surgery at Henry Ford Hospital. He is Board Certified in General Surgery and Colon and Rectal Surgery.
