Blue Seal Farm was started in 1982 as a family-run enterprise dedicated to the enjoyment of producing top-quality Ontario lamb and beef... Blue Seal Farm is a family owned and operated farm located in Rutherglen, Ontario east of North Bay, Ontario. Vincent Shank was born and raised on a farm and in 2000 he purchased the farm from his father as part of the family succession plan. Originally started as a hobby farm we have significantly grown and currently manage a flock of about 100 ewes and about 100 head of beef cattle. We raise the sheep and cattle on approximately 400 acres of high-quality pasture. Meticulous attention is paid to nutrition and animal health and we rely heavily on Livestock Guardian Dogs for predator protection.
