LONG INSURANCE AGENCY - Key Persons

Anne Long

Anne Long started out in the insurance business working for her dad, Dwain "Chub" Johnson in Clintonville, where she continued with him until the late 90's when they chose to sell the business to the Holmes Agency out of Ripon, WI. Anne continued to manage this book of business in Clintonville, and they also acquired an agency in the Oconto Falls/Shawano area. Holmes sold their business in 2005 to Hometown Bank out of Fond du Lac. In 2008 she was recruited by Marine Credit Union & John Rauschenberger to help them form a start up agency from scratch, which was very exciting & successful. That agency has grown to 6 more locations throughout the state. The opportunity then presented itself to purchase the business that she had produced, forming Long Insurance Agency LLC. Chub Johnson joined Clarence Barker in 1960. Over the years he acquired agencies along the way including the George Graff agency, Maron "Bud" Grill agency, Al Meyer agency in Shawano, Carl Much agency in Big Falls, and the Bud Miller agency in Marion. He also worked in Real Estate and in the years before his retirement formed "Appraisal South", providing real estate appraisals. Chub was active with the City and especially enjoyed golfing & curling. He passed away in 2012, leaving a void both personally & professionally, but we all have learned many things from him and he will always be with us in spirit.
