After volunteering at the Salisbury bat group in 2008, I gained my British bat license. This interest in bat ecology led me to study at the University of Exeter on the effects of wind turbines on bats in Britain. During my PhD, I gained extensive experience analysing British bat calls at wind farms. After the PhD, I developed StatsforBats - a consultancy specialising in the analysis of British bat calls, providing a cost-effective service for the industry.
