The Flow Cytometry Center is an institutional facility located at Fundación Ciencia & Vida (Av Zañartu 1482, Ñuñoa), whose aim is to provide flow cytometry (FACSCanto II) and cell sorting (FACSAria II) services. Both devices have three lasers that allow researchers to analyze up to 11 parameters simultaneously. The center also has a computer system to support researchers in the collection and analysis of computer data. The flow cytometer FACSCanto II allows performing quantitative multiparametric analysis in order to characterize cell subpopulations. The Cell Sorter can separate cells with high purity based on different parameters under conditions that permit subsequent use in functional experiments.
