Our group tackles questions in immunology by harnessing techniques for large-scale molecular and cellular profiling. Within this scope, we have been developing and utilizing tools from statistical machine learning and other areas of statistics and computer science to enable an effective use of such techniques and drive new discoveries. We have special interest in single cell genomics, with the goal of delineating and better understanding the factors that contribute to variability between cells (e.g, metabolic activity, chromatin structure, tissue context) and their implications in autoimmunity and cancer.
