WELCH & WEBB - Key Persons
Jared Welch started clerking for Shafer Law Office, L.C. in Weston, Missouri during law school and worked alongside Quint Shafer since graduating from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of law in 2002. His willingness to work hard and take on difficult challenges and cases started early in his legal career. One of Jared's earliest cases was the result of a work-related injury sustained by one of his uncles. Jared saw firsthand how an injury and subsequent recovery could affect an entire family. That case set the course for Jared's passion for helping injured people and their families. The desire to help injured people and their families led Quint and Jared to form Shafer & Welch, L.C. in 2009.
Jeremy Webb, a native of Weston, began working with Jared and Quint in 2007 and was immediately tasked with investigating and assisting with serious injury cases. Jeremy has a special connection with clients that have been seriously injured in automobile accidents as prior to joining the firm, his mother suffered debilitating injuries in a serious motor vehicle crash and Jared and Quint represented her. Jeremy was also involved in a near fatal automobile accident himself shortly after graduating from high school. In addition to handling personal injury cases, Jeremy serves as the City Attorney and Prosecuting Attorney for Weston. He also handles criminal cases, including serious felonies, as well as estate planning and probate matters. Jeremey's varied work experience is beneficial in protecting the rights of injured victims and their families.
In April 2014, Quint was appointed by Governor Jay Nixon as Platte County Associate Circuit Judge (Division III). Upon Quint's appointment, Jared and Jeremy formed what they felt like was a natural partnership - Welch & Webb, LLC. They moved into their historic building in downtown Platte City, across from the Platte County Courthouse, in August 2015. Welch & Webb was awarded the William M. Paxton Preservation Award in April 2018 for their work in renovating the antebellum home that now serves as their main office.
In 2019, Jared's wife, Pamela Welch, joined Welch & Webb. Pamela was a partner at a well-known insurance defense law firm in Kansas City where she defended individuals, companies and insurance companies in personal injury and wrongful death matters for more than 15 years. Pamela has first-hand knowledge of how insurance companies evaluate injury claims and how they attempt to limit recovery to injury victims. She is excited to use her experience to help injury victims and their families hold negligent parties responsible, receive a fair compensation and make communities safer. Pamela has proven to be a tremendous asset to Welch & Webb as it expands its personal injury practice and she brings significant experience to help protect the rights of injury victims.
