Dr. Ramlall was also very involved in the local community including serving as Chairman of the Board of Governors of Vryman's Erven Government School as well as President of the Berbice Lions Club... In 1974, he immigrated to the US to join his family and after a few years in private practice, served at the VA Hospitals in Massachusetts and then Washington D.C. from 1978 to 1996. In 1996 he retired to New York but went into private practice in the Richmond Hill area of the City, continuing to serve many Guyanese until 2005 when he finally retired to Virginia... Dr. F.A Ramlall is still fondly remembered by many Guyanese, many of who's parents, relatives and friends were former patients. Although he was grateful and loved being in the U.S, his hidden dream was to return to Guyana later in life. Our investment is the first step in fulfilling that dream.
