AMEL International Trade Ltd. was incorporated in 1985, and is owned and operated by David H. Peiffer of New Cumberland, Pennsylvania. Terrill J. McLean (Jim Thorpe, PA) is chief design architect specializing in restorations and renovations. Charles Bowman (Hanover, PA) is expert mason and general contractor for all AMEL building projects... AMEL became involved in the restoration of the walled remains of "The Castle" in 2007 (Jim Thorpe, PA) built by Dr. B.S. Erwin, personal physician to industrialist Asa Packard and his family. Once completed, AMEL plans to rebuild a small portion of the down track of the Switchback Railroad which runs the southern length of the property.
