Close the Door is currently resting. After a decade of working with retailers from the boardrooms of the multi-nationals to small independents and much more, retailers are now well aware of the effects of energy waste and air pollution inside their space... The Close the Door campaign works to stop shops wasting energy by keeping their doors open when using heating or air-conditioning. We are a business-friendly, non-profit organisation and our admin staff and campaigners work on a voluntary basis... We were founded in Cambridge where we now have over 500 shops of all types and sizes signed up to close the door. We are active in cities around the country and work nationally with head offices of the chains.
